DVDeconv
DVDeconv performs depth-variant asymmetric deconvolution of fluorescence microscopy z-stacks in MATLAB to reconstruct high-resolution three-dimensional images from two-dimensional micrographs captured along the z-axis.
Key Features:
- Depth-Variant Asymmetric Deconvolution: Models and corrects depth-dependent and x-y asymmetric blur arising from diffraction limitations and lens imperfections.
- Depth-Variant Asymmetric PSF Generator: Generates depth-variant asymmetric point spread functions (PSFs) to represent blurring at different focal depths.
- Comprehensive Deconvolution Algorithms: Implements advanced deconvolution algorithms tailored to handle depth-variance and asymmetry in microscopy blur.
- Three-Dimensional Reconstruction: Reconstructs high-resolution 3D images from 2D micrographs acquired along the z-axis.
- Experimental Validation: Includes experimental results demonstrating removal of depth-variant asymmetric blur in fluorescence microscopy images.
- Dataset for Performance Evaluation: Provides a constructed dataset simulating depth-variant asymmetric blur for benchmarking deconvolution methods.
Scientific Applications:
- Cellular Biology: Improves visualization and analysis of three-dimensional cellular structures imaged by fluorescence microscopy by correcting depth-dependent asymmetric blur.
- Deconvolution Method Development and Benchmarking: Supplies a simulated dataset and validation results for evaluating and comparing deconvolution algorithms.
Methodology:
Performs depth-variant asymmetric deconvolution using generated depth-variant asymmetric PSFs and specialized deconvolution algorithms.
