EMhub supports the daily operations and record-keeping of scientific facilities through management of users, instruments, bookings, and projects, with modular core functionalities that enable expansion to diverse data-generating centers.

Key Features:

• Facility Management: EMhub manages user information, instruments, bookings, and projects for scientific facilities.
• Modular Core Functionalities: The modular architecture enables expansion and adaptation to different types of data-generating centers beyond cryoEM.
• REST API Integration: External processes connect via a REST API to automate folder creation, user and password generation, and execution of real-time data-processing pipelines.
• On-the-fly Data Processing: A fully automated single-particle pipeline implements real-time data processing and analysis.

Scientific Applications:

• CryoEM Facility Operations: EMhub has been used for several years at the Swedish National CryoEM Facility and installed at the CryoEM center at the Structural Biology Department at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
• X-Ray Crystallography: The X-Ray Crystallography Center at St. Jude expanded the platform to support operational and data-management workflows.
• Single-Molecule Imaging: The Single-Molecule Imaging Center at St. Jude expanded the platform to support operational and data-management workflows.

Methodology:

EMhub connects external processes via a REST API and implements a fully automated single-particle pipeline for on-the-fly data processing and analysis.
