EVAtlas

EVAtlas provides a curated compendium of non-coding RNA (ncRNA) expression profiles from human extracellular vesicles (EVs) to enable analysis of ncRNA distribution, biomarker discovery, and therapeutic investigation.


Key Features:

  • Extensive Dataset Compilation: Integrates 2,030 human small RNA-seq datasets from extracellular vesicles, including small (sEV) and large (lEV) subtypes, across 24 conditions and over 40 diseases.
  • ncRNA Types Quantified: Quantifies seven ncRNA types: miRNA, snoRNA, piRNA, snRNA, rRNA, tRNA, and Y RNA.
  • Unified Reads Dynamic Assignment Algorithm (RDAA): Uses the Unified Reads Dynamic Assignment Algorithm (RDAA) to account for mismatches and multi-mapping reads during expression quantification.
  • Source Coverage: Covers eight specimen sources: plasma, serum, saliva, urine, sperm, breast milk, primary cells, and cell lines.
  • Functional Analysis Modules: Includes four analytical modules for browsing and comparison across conditions and sources; candidate prioritization based on condition-related tissue expression; specific-expression exploration under conditions; and functional investigation of ncRNA functions, associated drugs, target genes, and methods for EV isolation.

Methodology:

Integrated 2,030 human small RNA-seq datasets from sEVs and lEVs and quantified seven ncRNA types (miRNA, snoRNA, piRNA, snRNA, rRNA, tRNA, Y RNA) using the Unified Reads Dynamic Assignment Algorithm (RDAA), which accounts for mismatches and multi-mapping reads.
