FifBase consolidates fertility-associated genetic and environmental factors across domestic animal species to support research on genetic and environmental determinants of reproduction.
Key Features:
- Extensive literature curation: Integrates data from 3,301 PubMed articles covering 13 animal species and identifies 2,823 genes associated with 75 fertility indicators or 47 environmental factors.
- Gene integration from multiple sources: Includes a comprehensive list of 1,558 fertility-linked genes across ten species derived from RNA-Seq datasets (1,088 genes) and text mining data (470 genes).
- Fertility–gene and fertility–environment mappings: Catalogs 2,910 fertility-gene pairs and 58 fertility–environmental factor associations for detailed relationship analysis.
