fqseqpair

fqseqpair lists names of sequence pairs from two FASTQ files to support processing of paired-end sequencing data.

Key Features:

  • FASTQ file handling: Processes two FASTQ-formatted files to identify and list paired sequence names.
  • Galaxy@Pasteur integration: Executes via the Galaxy@Pasteur platform to leverage its execution engine and computational resources.

Scientific Applications:

  • Paired-end sequencing workflows: Provides a reliable listing of read pairs required for downstream paired-end analyses.
  • Metagenomics: Supports accurate pairing of reads for community composition and assembly analyses.
  • Phylogenetics: Assists in preparing paired-end read sets for phylogenetic inference workflows.

Methodology:

Communicates with Galaxy using its API or the Bioblend library and runs via the Galaxy execution engine on the Institut Pasteur cluster for resource-managed execution.
