GenCLiP
GenCLiP identifies enriched literature-derived keywords and integrates molecular interactions from Medline abstracts to construct molecular networks that characterize the biological functions of input gene lists.
Key Features:
- Literature mining and keyword enrichment: Extracts and enriches relevant keywords from up-to-date publications associated with an input gene list.
- Analysis with free terms: Accepts user-provided or literature-derived free terms to tailor keyword association and network construction.
- Integration of molecular interactions: Identifies and integrates molecular interactions mentioned in Medline abstracts to inform network connections.
- Construction of molecular networks and subnetworks: Builds detailed molecular networks and subnetworks that link genes via extracted interactions and enriched keywords.
- Analysis of human genes: Performs analyses specifically on human genes using combined literature mining and user-provided terms.
Scientific Applications:
- Functional genomics: Elucidates functional roles of genes by associating gene lists with enriched literature-derived keywords.
- Network biology: Maps complex molecular interactions into networks and subnetworks to study cellular mechanisms.
- Disease research: Identifies gene–disease associations and related molecular pathways to support discovery of potential therapeutic targets.
Methodology:
Analyzes human genes by literature mining of Medline abstracts combined with user-provided free terms to extract and integrate molecular interactions and construct molecular networks.
