ggbio

"ggbio" is a software methodology to visualize and explore genomic annotations and high-throughput data, enhancing how researchers interpret and understand complex genomic information. Developed within the R programming environment, ggbio leverages the comprehensive statistical capabilities of R, the grammar of graphics for clear and compelling visual representation, and the robust data handling functionalities provided by the Bioconductor project. This integration ensures that ggbio can offer detailed views of specific genomic regions, provide summary insights into sequence alignments and splicing patterns, and present genome-wide overviews using karyogram, circular, and grand linear layouts.

The ggbio package is structured within a modular framework, enabling users to construct plots that best suit their research needs systematically. This approach facilitates a high degree of customization and ensures that plots are generated directly from Bioconductor data structures, maintaining data integrity and coherence throughout the analysis process.
