Glynsight

Glynsight visualizes and compares glycan expression profiles to support analysis of N- and O-linked glycomics data and integration with structural and epitope information.

Key Features:

  • Interactive visualization: Generation of interactive visualizations of glycan expression profiles, including N- and O-linked data.
  • Comparative analysis: Comparative analysis of multiple glycan profiles to reveal differences and similarities across datasets.
  • Integration with structural data: Integration of glycan composition data with structural information from external databases.
  • Pipeline integration: Interoperation within the Glycomics@ExPASy pipeline, including integration with EpitopeXtractor and Glydin'.
  • Network-based discovery: Use of network visualization (via Glydin') to identify clusters of glycoepitopes and prioritize potential targets.

Scientific Applications:

  • Glycan profiling and comparison: Analysis and comparison of N- and O-linked glycan expression profiles across samples or conditions.
  • Glycoepitope discovery: Identification and prioritization of glycoepitope clusters for target discovery using network visualization.
  • Structure–composition correlation: Correlation of glycan composition with structural database information to investigate structural motifs and their associations.
  • Data-driven hypothesis generation: Transformation of raw glycan profile data into visual representations to inform hypothesis generation and experimental planning.

Methodology:

Imports glycan profile data, generates interactive visualizations, integrates composition data with structural databases, and interoperates with EpitopeXtractor and Glydin' as part of the Glycomics@ExPASy pipeline.
