GoaT aggregates and indexes genome-relevant metadata across the eukaryotic tree of life to support coordination and prioritization of large-scale sequencing projects such as the Earth BioGenome Project's effort to generate reference-quality genome assemblies for approximately 1.9 million described eukaryotic taxa.
