GONUTS

GONUTS provides term-level documentation and community-curated Gene Ontology (GO) annotations to support consistent use of GO terms in genome annotation projects.

Key Features:

• Term-level documentation: Generates third-party documentation at the granularity of individual GO terms, complementing Gene Ontology Consortium documentation.
• Model organism annotation display: Displays comprehensive GO annotations for Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Dictyostelium discoideum, Caenorhabditis elegans, Drosophila melanogaster, Danio rerio, Mus musculus, and Arabidopsis thaliana.
• Automated UniProt gene-page creation: Creates gene pages automatically for gene products listed in UniProt to facilitate annotation capture.
• Collaborative annotation sharing: Supports community editing and sharing of notes on GO term usage and the collaborative contribution of gene-specific annotations.
• Annotation consistency support: Provides examples of term usage to aid consistency across genome annotation projects.
