grtools
Grtools is a software tool that is specifically designed to test for perceptual independence using General Recognition Theory (GRT) analysis. GRT is considered the best analytical tool to test for perceptual independence, as it is a multidimensional extension of signal detection theory. Perceptual science is an ever-growing field, and determining whether perceptual properties are processed independently is an important goal in this field. However, there is currently a lack of software tools implementing GRT analyses that are readily usable by experimental psychologists and neuroscientists who have little training in computational modeling.
The software aims to provide researchers with a simple and user-friendly tool to implement GRT analyses, allowing them to determine whether perceptual properties are processed independently. With Grtools, researchers can easily assess the relationship between different stimuli and responses, providing a more accurate understanding of the perceptual system.
