iARPlus

iARPlus enables remote-customized telecontrol for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, facilitating monitoring of disease activity through the RAID approach during teleconsultations.

Key Features:

  • RAID-based disease activity monitoring: The platform implements the Rheumatoid Arthritis Impact of Disease approach, developed by EULAR, which combines key patient-reported outcomes for assessing disease activity.
  • Web-based teleconsultation data collection: Patient data is collected via the iARPlus portal and accessible through an internet browser, supporting remote participation in teleconsultations.
  • CDAI correlation tracking: The system enables comparison and correlation of Clinical Disease Activity Index scores with self-reported RAID scores over the study period.
  • Treatment outcome comparison: The platform supports monitoring of differential outcomes between Janus kinase inhibitors and adalimumab treatment regimens.

Scientific Applications:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis telemedicine: Remote monitoring of RA disease activity through structured teleconsultations as an alternative or supplement to in-person visits.
  • Patient-reported outcome integration: Collection and analysis of PROs via the RAID approach for comprehensive disease impact assessment in clinical settings.
  • Treatment response evaluation: Comparative assessment of JAKi versus adalimumab efficacy on pain control, disease activity improvement, and remission rates.
  • Validation of remote assessment tools: Correlation analysis between clinician-measured CDAI and patient-reported RAID scores to validate teleconsultation-based monitoring.

Methodology:

Forty RA patients participated in two in-person visits at baseline and 12 months and seven teleconsultations over 12 months. Disease activity was measured using CDAI at baseline and follow-up, with self-reported RAID scores collected throughout the study. Spearman correlation analysis was performed between CDAI and RAID scores.
