ColorI-DT
ColorI-DT quantitatively evaluates differences between pairs of color microscopy images by computing pixel-wise color difference matrices using multiple colorimetric metrics.
Key Features:
- Multiple color difference metrics: Implements Euclidean Delta E, CIE76 (Luv), CIE76 (Lab), CIE94, CIE00, and Colour Measurement Committee (CMC) metrics for comparing corresponding pixels between two input images.
- 2D pixel-wise difference matrix output: Produces a two-dimensional color difference matrix representing the quantitative difference between corresponding pixels in the input image pair.
- Primary color channel analysis: Evaluates metric behavior on microscopy images with predominant red, green, or blue channel coloration.
Scientific Applications:
- Histopathology microscopy standardization: Assesses color variation between patient samples acquired using different microscopes or cameras.
- Controlled color alteration analysis: Identifies which color difference metrics exhibit the most predictable and linear behavior under controlled primary color alterations.
- Colorimetric validation: Supports quantitative comparison workflows where qualitative comparison becomes insufficient for subtle color adjustments.
Methodology:
ColorI-DT computes a 2D pixel-wise color difference matrix between corresponding pixels of two input color images using one of six implemented metrics: Euclidean Delta E, CIE76 (Luv), CIE76 (Lab), CIE94, CIE00, or CMC.
