The ICTV Taxon Resolver is an online lookup tool that uses the ICTV Ontology API to translate any virus name—current, historical, informal, or deprecated—into its official, up‑to‑date taxonomic position within the ICTV (International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses) taxonomy, the globally recognized standard for virus classification.
