ILDGDB

ILDGDB consolidates experimentally supported associations between genes and interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) from the literature to enable genetic and molecular studies of ILDs across multiple species.

Key Features:

  • Extensive Data Coverage: Consolidates data from over 3,000 articles across four species, covering 20 ILD types and more than 600 genes.
  • Regulation of mRNA Level: Contains over 1,082 entries detailing regulation of mRNA levels for more than 450 genes.
  • Regulation of Protein Level: Contains 391 entries covering protein-level regulation for over 200 genes.
  • Variants: Contains 425 entries on genetic variants associated with more than 100 genes.
  • Drug Information: Contains 35 entries linking 29 genes to drug-related data relevant to ILDs.
  • Knockout Information: Contains 85 entries detailing knockout effects for 72 genes.

Scientific Applications:

  • Gene Mechanism Exploration: Supports investigation of molecular mechanisms underlying ILDs using detailed gene-level regulation and expression data.
  • Drug Discovery and Development: Provides drug–gene associations that can inform identification of therapeutic targets for ILDs.
  • Genetic Research: Enables studies of genetic variants and gene regulation contributing to the genetic basis of ILDs.

Methodology:

Manual curation of published literature with mining and summarization of dispersed 'omics' data from the referenced articles.
