IRMa validates and organizes Mascot peptide-spectrum matches (PSMs) to enable reliable protein identification from mass spectrometry-based proteomics data.


Key Features:

  • Manual validation of PSMs: Enables manual confirmation or rejection of peptide-spectrum matches to improve identification confidence.
  • Automatic filtering: Filters Mascot search results based on predefined or user-defined parameters to remove non-significant hits.
  • Dynamic grouping: Groups and regroups protein hits identified by the same peptide(s) to maintain coherence of identifications.
  • Batch processing / high-throughput automation: Supports fully automated batch processing for high-throughput pipelines.
  • Export formats including MSIdb: Exports validated identifications in multiple formats, including the MSIdb identification database.
  • Centralized repository generation: Compiles search results into a unique repository that summarizes project-wide identifications.
  • Parsing of Mascot result files: Reads Mascot result files using the Matrix Science Parser.
