KOMBAT (Knowledgebase Of Microbes’ Battling Agents for Therapeutics) aggregates and curates literature-derived data on alternative antimicrobial agents—including novel small molecules, antimicrobial peptides, bacteriophages, phytochemicals, nanocomposites, and phototherapy techniques—to support discovery of therapies against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites and to address antimicrobial resistance driven by antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and lateral gene transfer.
