LiPlaCeT

LiPlaCeT performs 4D (3D + time) cell tracking and lineage analysis of live-imaging microscopy data within ImageJ to quantify cell dynamics such as position, length, growth rate, displacement, and proliferation in plant tissues including Arabidopsis thaliana roots.


Key Features:

  • 4D Cell Tracking and Lineage Analysis: Enables tracking of cells in three spatial dimensions over time within plant tissues, with emphasis on primary and lateral root systems of Arabidopsis thaliana.
  • Manual and Automated Tracking: Supports both manual tracking and automated tracking approaches to accommodate datasets with varying signal-to-noise ratios.
  • ParaView Integration for Quantitative Analysis: Exports or interfaces tracking results to ParaView to derive quantitative metrics including cell length, position, growth rate, displacement rate, and proliferation activity at the tissue level.
  • Genealogical and Clonal Analysis: Constructs genealogical trees and analyzes clonal relationships and cell dynamics in developing root primordia and the root apical meristem (RAM).
