LipoDDx identifies and assigns probability scores to over 40 rare lipodystrophy syndromes from clinical features to support diagnosis of disorders of adipose tissue distribution.

  • Demonstrated diagnostic performance: In a panel-based evaluation of 40 confirmed cases, correct diagnosis rates increased from 17 ± 20% without the application to 79 ± 20% with the application (p < 0.01).

Methodology:

Clinical records from 40 patients with confirmed lipodystrophy diagnoses were analyzed by a panel of 13 physicians, one biochemist, and one dentist; each evaluator provided a diagnosis before and after using LipoDDx, and results were scored according to case complexity and disease prevalence.
