Lnc2Cancer

Lnc2Cancer curates a manually reviewed database of experimentally supported associations between long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), circular RNAs (circRNAs), and human cancers to support molecular and clinical cancer research.


Key Features:

  • Expanded database entries: Lnc2Cancer 3.0 contains 9,254 lncRNA–cancer associations covering 2,659 lncRNAs across 216 cancer subtypes and 1,049 circRNA–cancer associations covering 743 circRNAs across 70 cancer subtypes.
  • Regulatory mechanisms: Experimentally supported interactions annotated include microRNAs, transcription factors (TFs), genetic variants, DNA methylation patterns, and enhancers.
  • Biological functions: Annotations include effects on cell growth, apoptosis, autophagy, epithelial–mesenchymal transformation (EMT), immunity, and coding ability.
  • Clinical relevance: Associations include metastasis, recurrence, circulation, drug resistance, and prognosis.
  • RNA-seq Web Tool: Analysis of lncRNA expression using high-throughput RNA sequencing data.
  • scRNA-seq Web Tool: Analysis of lncRNAs at single-cell resolution to assess cellular heterogeneity and specific cancer cell populations.
