LncPCD

LncPCD curates experimentally validated associations between long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and programmed cell death (PCD) mechanisms to support analysis of lncRNA-mediated PCD in disease contexts.

Key Features:

  • Extensive Association Database: Documents 6,666 associations involving five types of programmed cell death—apoptosis, autophagy, ferroptosis, necroptosis, and pyroptosis—covering 1,222 lncRNAs across 331 diseases.
  • Curated Regulatory Mechanisms: Includes information on seven regulatory mechanisms by which lncRNAs influence PCD.
  • Cell Type Specificity: Contains data on 310 PCD-associated cell types across three species.
  • Subcellular Localization: Provides subcellular localization information for lncRNAs relevant to their functional interactions.
  • Single-Cell Sequencing Integration: Integrates 10 single-cell sequencing datasets to capture dynamic lncRNA expression patterns within disease contexts.
  • Clinical Relevance: Reports clinical associations and applications of lncRNA-mediated PCD relevant to therapeutic research.

Scientific Applications:

  • Molecular Pathway Analysis: Enables analysis of how specific lncRNAs regulate different PCD types in various disease states.
  • Biomarker Discovery: Supports identification of lncRNA-based biomarkers for diagnosis or prognosis linked to PCD pathways.
  • Therapeutic Target Identification: Facilitates exploration of lncRNA-mediated regulatory networks as potential therapeutic targets affecting PCD.

Methodology:

Data were manually curated from experimental studies.
