M2Lite
M2Lite converts MSF files generated by Proteome Discoverer into mzIdentML to provide standardized representation of mass spectrometry-based proteomics identification results.
Key Features:
- MSF to mzIdentML conversion: Converts Proteome Discoverer MSF files into mzIdentML while preserving all relevant identification data.
- Standardization support: Produces mzIdentML output to enable interoperability and standardized representation of proteomics identification results.
- Lightweight and fast: Implemented for efficient, rapid conversion of MSF files.
Scientific Applications:
- Protein identification and peptide-spectrum assignment: Enables use of Proteome Discoverer search results in workflows for protein database searching and peptide-to-spectrum assignments by exporting to mzIdentML.
- Data integration and reproducibility: Facilitates sharing, comparison, and integration of proteomics identification results across tools and datasets to support reproducibility.
Methodology:
Takes MSF files as input and systematically converts them into the mzIdentML format while preserving all relevant data.
