Malaria Data Small Molecule Search

Malaria Data Small Molecule Search enables comprehensive searches of small-molecule records in the Malaria Data database to support identification and analysis of compounds relevant to malaria research.

Key Features:

  • Extensive Database Access: Provides access to a curated repository of small-molecule data specific to malaria research.
  • Integration with EMBL-EBI Infrastructure: Operates with EMBL-EBI infrastructure, including significant disk capacity (75 petabytes as of December 2015) and interoperability with other EMBL-EBI resources.
  • Advanced Search Capabilities: Supports precise querying based on molecular parameters to enable targeted retrieval of candidate compounds.
  • Support for Large-Scale Analysis: Enables large-scale analyses via Embassy Cloud in a virtual environment adjacent to EMBL-EBI public data resources.

Scientific Applications:

  • Drug Discovery: Assists identification of novel small molecules as potential antimalarial drug candidates.
  • Molecular Research: Enables studies of interactions between small molecules and biological targets relevant to malaria pathogenesis.
  • Data Integration: Facilitates integration of small-molecule data with genetic and structural datasets from EMBL-EBI resources such as the European Variation Archive and EMPIAR.

Methodology:

Manages and queries large volumes of molecular data using advanced bioinformatics techniques within an interoperable, scalable framework and integrates with the Embassy Cloud.
