Mapiya
Mapiya generates intramolecular and intermolecular contact maps and characterizes physicochemical interactions to analyze spatial relationships in proteins, nucleic acids, and their complexes.
Key Features:
- Generation of Contact Maps: Generates intramolecular and intermolecular contact maps for proteins, nucleic acids, and their complexes.
- Characterization of Interactions: Characterizes the physicochemical nature of contacts to describe interaction types within biomolecules.
- Interactive Visualization: Utilizes Molstar for interactive 3D visualization, including automatic zooming on selected contacts.
- Integrated Analyses: Performs sequence- and structure-based analyses using a combination of third-party software and in-house proprietary algorithms.
Scientific Applications:
- Interaction analysis: Investigate protein-protein, protein-nucleic acid, and nucleic acid-nucleic acid interactions.
- Conformational dynamics: Explore conformational changes and dynamics within biomolecular complexes.
- Drug design support: Support drug design by identifying potential interaction sites on target molecules.
Methodology:
Integration of third-party software with in-house proprietary algorithms to generate contact maps and perform sequence- and structure-based analyses, with interactive visualization powered by Molstar.
