MATLAB

MathWorks MATLAB is a programming language and numerical computing platform for engineering and scientific workflows, designed for matrix/array-centric computation and iterative analysis within an interactive desktop environment. It supports data analysis, algorithm development, and modeling, with integrated visualization; an executable notebook-style authoring interface (Live Editor) that combines code, results, and formatted text; and extensible, domain-specific toolboxes that are professionally developed, tested, and documented. MATLAB also provides interfaces to external languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java, Fortran), connectivity to hardware, and mechanisms to scale computation to multicore CPUs, GPUs, clusters, and cloud resources with minimal code changes, as well as pathways for deploying algorithms (including code generation to C/C++, HDL, and CUDA) and integration with Simulink for model-based design and simulation.
