MixDB

MixDB identifies mixture tandem mass spectra originating from multiple peptides to enable accurate peptide identification in database searches of tandem mass spectrometry data, including co-eluting peptides and data-independent acquisition (DIA) datasets.

  • High Accuracy and Efficiency: Achieves up to 95% reliability while considering approximately 0.01% of all possible peptide pairs, yielding about four orders of magnitude speedup versus exhaustive searches.
  • Enhanced Sensitivity and Precision: Shows comparable or better sensitivity and precision on single-peptide spectra and uniquely identifies 38% more peptides from mixture spectra with higher precision.
