Mouse Atlas of Gene Expression

Mouse Atlas of Gene Expression provides quantitative LongSAGE-based gene expression profiles across mouse tissues and developmental stages to identify known and novel transcripts for studies of mouse development and comparative genomics.

Key Features:

• Extensive LongSAGE data collection: Analysis of approximately 8.55 million LongSAGE tags from 72 distinct mouse tissue libraries, with an aim to generate 150 Serial Analysis of Gene Expression (SAGE) libraries.
• Identification of novel genomic loci: Detection of approximately 24,000 previously undescribed genomic loci from LongSAGE data.
• Tissue-specific expression profiles: Detection of pronounced tissue-specific expression, notably in visual cortex, pancreas, mammary gland, preimplantation embryo, and placenta, with 25% of differentially expressed transcripts representing previously unknown loci.
