MouseMine

MouseMine provides query, integration, and analysis of mouse genomic, genetic, phenotypic, and bibliographic data from the Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) database.

• Powerful Query Capabilities: Supports complex, multi-attribute queries across MGI-derived data to retrieve gene, genotype, phenotype, and bibliographic records.
• Reporting and Analysis Tools: Generates query-based reports and provides analytical functions for downstream exploration of retrieved datasets.
• Data Integration and Workflow Enhancement: Saves and combines results from multiple queries to enable integrated analyses across genetic, phenotypic, and bibliographic datasets.

Scientific Applications:

• Gene–disease association analysis: Enables retrieval and cross-referencing of genes and associated disease annotations from MGI for association studies.

Methodology:

Implemented as a data warehouse built on the InterMine software framework, MouseMine integrates diverse MGI data using InterMine data representation standards and exposes a Web Services layer for programmatic access.
