myDGR detects and predicts diversity-generating retroelements (DGRs) in nucleotide sequences to characterize reverse transcriptases, template repeats, variable repeats with A-to-N (where N can be C, T, or G) substitutions, and VR-containing target genes in bacteria, archaea, and phages.
