NanopoReaTA
NanopoReaTA provides real-time analysis of RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) data from Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) to enable differential transcriptome analysis and interactive monitoring of sequencing runs.
Key Features:
- Real-time analysis: Processes ONT RNA-seq data during sequencing to deliver continuous analytical outputs.
- Differential transcriptome analysis: Supports differential expression analysis of transcript-level data generated by ONT sequencing.
- Whole-transcriptome and gene-specific analyses: Enables both global transcriptome profiling and targeted gene-level analyses.
- Integrated Nextflow pipeline: Employs a Nextflow workflow to process sequencing data from ongoing or completed experiments.
- Visual snapshots of sequencing runs: Produces periodic visual summaries of sequencing progress and intermediate results.
Scientific Applications:
- Gene expression profiling: Enables quantification and comparison of expression levels across the transcriptome using ONT RNA-seq.
- Novel transcript identification: Supports detection of previously unannotated transcripts from long-read RNA-seq data.
- Alternative splicing analysis: Facilitates exploration of alternative splicing events using transcript-level ONT reads.
- Clinical rapid diagnosis and monitoring: Provides immediate transcriptomic insights for rapid disease diagnosis and patient-specific monitoring.
Methodology:
Real-time processing of ONT RNA-seq data via an integrated Nextflow pipeline that processes ongoing or completed sequencing runs and generates periodic visual summaries.
