NBIGV-DB

NBIGV-DB organizes and characterizes immunoglobulin variable-region recombination sequences produced by non-B cells to enable comparative analysis of VHDJH and VκJκ repertoires across mouse strains, tissues, and Ig classes.

Key Features:

  • Data content: 727,989 VHDJH and VκJκ recombination sequences derived from mouse samples, annotated by strain, tissue, and Ig class.
  • Non-B cell scope: Includes immunoglobulins produced by epithelial cells, neurons, germ cells, and myeloid cells.
  • Sequence analysis: Enables investigation of variable region sequences specific to non-B immunoglobulins and identification of conserved V(D)J patterns across non-B lineages.
  • Sequence comparison: Supports sequence similarity searches using NCBI-BLAST algorithms.

Scientific Applications:

  • Comparative repertoire analysis: Compare VHDJH and VκJκ repertoires across mouse strains, tissues, and Ig classes to study repertoire diversity and conservation.
  • Functional inference of non-B Igs: Investigate alternative roles of non-B cell–derived immunoglobulins in cell survival, adhesion, and migration.
  • Conserved V(D)J pattern discovery: Identify conserved V(D)J recombination patterns across non-B cell lineages.

Methodology:

Sequence similarity searches are performed using NCBI-BLAST algorithms.
