Nc2Eye
Nc2Eye provides a curated knowledgebase of experimentally validated non-coding RNA (ncRNA) associations with eye diseases, including retinoblastoma and diabetic retinopathy, to support basic and clinical research into ncRNA roles in disease pathogenesis.
Key Features:
- Extensive Database: Contains 7,088 manually curated ncRNA–eye disease (ED) associations involving 4,363 distinct ncRNAs across eight species compiled from a review of over 2,400 published papers.
- Detailed Annotations: Each ncRNA–ED association is annotated with ncRNA categories, experimental methods used for validation, observed expression patterns, and related clinical drugs.
- High-Throughput Transcriptome Data: Integrates more than 90 high-throughput transcriptome datasets from diseased and normal control samples to support identification of pathogenic ncRNAs and biomarkers.

Methodology:
Nc2Eye was constructed through rigorous literature mining and manual curation of over 2,400 published papers to extract experimentally validated ncRNA–eye disease associations.
