Open PHACTS API

Open PHACTS API provides integrated access to pharmacological and physicochemical data by consolidating diverse public datasets into a semantically enriched triple store to support drug discovery research.

Key Features:

  • Integrated pharmacological and physicochemical data: Aggregates pharmacological and physicochemical data from diverse publicly available sources into a consolidated resource.
  • Consolidated triple store: Stores integrated data in a unified RDF triple store for structured representation.
  • Open PHACTS API: Exposes the consolidated data programmatically via the Open PHACTS API.
  • Semantic web standards and technologies: Employs semantic web standards and technologies to represent and link data across sources.
  • Semantic enrichment: Applies semantic enrichment to aggregated data to improve interoperability and queryability.
  • Open pharmacological space: Establishes and maintains an open pharmacological space through integration and semantic annotation of datasets.

Scientific Applications:

  • Drug discovery research: Supports drug discovery by providing integrated pharmacological and physicochemical data for analysis.
  • Addressing research challenges: Facilitates tackling specific challenges in drug discovery through semantically integrated datasets.
  • Support for academic and industry efforts: Provides integrated data resources usable in both open innovation and proprietary drug discovery efforts.

Methodology:

Aggregates diverse data sources into a consolidated RDF triple store and applies semantic web standards and semantic enrichment to enable improved querying and analysis.
