OSlihc

OSlihc performs consensus survival analysis for liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) by integrating public gene expression profiling and long-term follow-up data to identify prognostic biomarkers.

Key Features:

  • Data Integration: Integrates public gene expression profiling data and long-term follow-up from 637 LIHC cases across four independent cohorts.
  • Survival Analysis: Generates Kaplan-Meier survival plots and reports hazard ratios (HR) and p-values for gene-specific prognostic assessment.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluates gene expression levels to determine whether elevated or reduced expression associates with favorable or unfavorable survival outcomes in LIHC.
  • Validation and Novel Discoveries: Validated 65 previously reported prognostic biomarkers and identified four novel potential prognostic biomarkers (ATG9A, WIPI1, CXCL1, CSNK2A2) whose elevated expression associates with unfavorable survival in LIHC.

Scientific Applications:

  • Prognostic evaluation: Assess the prognostic significance of individual genes in LIHC cohorts using survival statistics.
  • Biomarker discovery and validation: Discover and validate prognostic biomarkers, including ATG9A, WIPI1, CXCL1, and CSNK2A2 as candidate markers.
  • Targeted research support: Inform development of targeted therapeutic hypotheses and patient stratification strategies for LIHC based on gene-specific survival associations.

Methodology:

Consensus survival analysis on integrated public gene expression and long-term follow-up data from 637 cases across four cohorts, generation of Kaplan-Meier plots with hazard ratios and p-values, and validation against 65 reported prognostic biomarkers.
