OverProt
OverProt generates consensus descriptions of secondary structure elements across protein families using CATH data to characterize conserved and variable helices and β-sheets.
Key Features:
- Secondary Structure Consensus: Constructs a consensus of secondary structure elements for each protein family, explicitly including helices and β-sheets.
- Variability Representation: Represents both the general fold and intra-family structural variations to capture diversity within a family.
- User-defined Queries: Enables computation of secondary structure consensus for specified subsets of a family via user-defined queries.
- Structural Attributes Reporting: Reports attributes for secondary structure elements including element type, length, frequency of occurrence, spatial variability, and β-connectivity.
