pHLA3D

pHLA3D provides predicted three-dimensional (3D) structures of Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) molecules to support structural and epitope analyses in immunological research.

Key Features:

  • Molecular coverage: Includes HLA class I and HLA class II molecules, specifically HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-C, HLA-DR, HLA-DQ, and HLA-DP.
  • Structure counts: Contains 106 HLA class I structures and 127 HLA class II structures, comprising 41 DR, 42 DQ, and 44 DP variants.
  • Modeling methods: Uses homology modeling to generate predicted 3D structures based on known templates.
  • Software: Employs MODELLER and SWISS-MODEL for structure prediction.
  • Interaction relevance: Models are applicable to analyses of HLA configurations and their interactions with peptides or other biological molecules.

Scientific Applications:

  • Epitope analysis in transplantation: Supports epitope analysis relevant to organ transplantation studies.
  • Vaccine development: Provides structural models useful for vaccine antigen and epitope design.
  • Autoimmune disease research: Enables structural investigations pertinent to autoimmune disease mechanisms.
  • Personalized medicine in transplantation: Informs structural assessments that can contribute to personalized approaches in transplantation.

Methodology:

Homology modeling using MODELLER and SWISS-MODEL to predict 3D structures based on known templates.
