PlaMoM
PlaMoM compiles a curated database of plant mobile macromolecules to enable analysis of macromolecular mobility within plants.
Key Features:
- Extensive Database: Aggregates data on plant mobile macromolecules into a centralized repository.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Developed and maintained with contributions from Hong Kong Baptist University (Department of Biology; School of Chinese Medicine; Institute of Integrated Bioinformedicine and Translational Science), The University of Hong Kong (School of Biomedical Sciences), Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Laboratory for Food Safety and Environmental Technology), Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Partner State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology).
- Research Support: Provides data relevant to nutrient transport, signal transduction, stress response, and other processes related to macromolecular mobility in plant biology.
Scientific Applications:
- Mechanistic studies: Investigating mechanisms and pathways that govern macromolecular mobility in plants.
- Transport and signaling analysis: Analyzing roles of mobile macromolecules in nutrient transport, signal transduction, and stress responses.
- Basic and applied research: Supporting fundamental plant biology research and applied agricultural sciences through consolidated data on mobile macromolecules.
Methodology:
Aggregates data on plant mobile macromolecules into a centralized database.
