Plant MicroRNA Database (PMRD)
Plant MicroRNA Database (PMRD) aggregates plant microRNA (miRNA) sequence, structure, target and expression data to support analysis of miRNA-mediated gene regulation across plant species.
Key Features:
- Data Integration: Consolidates miRNA data from public databases, recent scientific literature, and proprietary in-house datasets.
- Extensive Data Collection: Contains 8,433 miRNAs across 121 plant species, including Arabidopsis thaliana, Oryza sativa, Populus trichocarpa, Glycine max, and major crops such as wheat, maize, sorghum, barley, cotton, medicago, and others.
- Sequence and Structural Data: Provides miRNA sequence information and associated secondary structure for individual entries.
- Target Predictions: Lists target genes with predicted interaction sites for each miRNA entry.
- Expression Profiles: Includes miRNA expression profiles derived from studies including local rice oxidative stress-related microarray data (LC Sciences miRPlants_10.1) and published microarray data for poplar, Arabidopsis, tomato, maize, and rice.
