PPGR
PPGR provides an integrated genomic and gene-regulation resource for perennial woody plants by compiling genomic sequences, functional annotations, protein–protein and transcription factor–target interactions, and transcriptome datasets from 60 species to support analysis of wood production, seasonal dormancy, terpene biosynthesis, and leaf senescence.
Key Features:
- Extensive Data Collection: Aggregates genomic sequences, functional annotations, and interaction data from 60 perennial plant species, including over 847 million protein–protein and transcription factor–target interactions.
- Environmental and Genetic Contextualization: Contains 9016 transcriptome samples collected under diverse environmental conditions and genetic backgrounds.
- Focus on Key Biological Processes: Annotates and emphasizes genes involved in wood production, seasonal dormancy, terpene biosynthesis, and leaf senescence.
- Multi-Omics Integration: Provides multi-omics search and analysis capabilities integrating genomics with transcriptomics and proteomics datasets.
- Data Visualization and Analysis Tools: Includes visualization and analysis functions to interpret regulatory networks and complex molecular interactions.
Scientific Applications:
- Functional Genomics: Integrates genomic and functional annotation data to identify genes underlying traits such as wood production, dormancy, terpene biosynthesis, and leaf senescence.
- Gene Regulation Studies: Enables exploration of regulatory mechanisms using protein–protein and transcription factor–target interaction networks.
- Ecological and Evolutionary Research: Supports investigation of the genetic basis of ecological traits and comparative analyses across perennial species.
- Biotechnological Applications: Provides datasets and interaction networks for applied research in agriculture and forestry, including trait improvement and wood production optimization.
Methodology:
Data were collected from experimental results, literature mining, public databases, and genomic predictions.
