Proteome-pI
Proteome-pI provides predicted isoelectric points (pIs) for proteomes from 5029 species using 18 prediction algorithms to analyze proteome-wide pI distributions for proteomics and evolutionary studies.

- Extensive Data Coverage: Covers proteomes from 5029 species including model organisms and integrates sequences from UniProtKB/TrEMBL and the NCBI non-redundant (nr) database with datasets available in CSV format.
- Predictive Algorithms: Calculates pIs using 18 distinct prediction algorithms to enable statistical comparison of prediction methods.
- 2D-PAGE Plots: Generates virtual 2D-PAGE plots of isoelectric point versus molecular weight to visualize proteome distributions and support planning of 2D gel electrophoresis, capillary isoelectric focusing, liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry, and X-ray protein crystallography.
- Proteome Fractionation: Enables development of proteome fractions based on specified pI ranges and molecular weight cutoffs for tailored analyses.

Methodology:
Calculates pIs for proteome sequences integrated from UniProtKB/TrEMBL and the NCBI non-redundant (nr) database using 18 prediction algorithms, generates virtual 2D-PAGE plots from calculated pI and molecular weight values, and exports datasets in CSV format.
