PTMViz

PTMViz analyzes histone post-translational modification (PTM) data from high-resolution mass spectrometry to identify differential protein abundance and histone PTMs between sample groups.

Key Features:

  • Interactive Visualization: Provides volcano plots, heatmaps, bar charts, and data tables for exploring differential signals.
  • Differential Abundance Analysis: Performs downstream differential analysis comparing two sample groups to detect changes in protein abundance and epigenetic modifications.
  • Histone PTM-specific Analysis: Targets histone modifications including H3K9me, H3K27me3, and H4K16ac for identification and quantification.
  • Mass Spectrometry Data Processing: Processes large datasets generated by high-resolution mass spectrometry for PTM analysis.

Scientific Applications:

  • Epigenetic Regulation Studies: Enables investigation of how histone PTMs affect gene regulation.
  • Neurobiological Research: Applied to study changes in the dopaminergic pathway in response to methamphetamine exposure.
  • Disease Epigenetics: Used to identify epigenetic alterations associated with diseases such as cancer.

Methodology:

Processes high-resolution mass spectrometry datasets and conducts downstream differential abundance analysis comparing two sample groups.
