QuArray

QuArray: Whole Slide Imaging-Based Tissue Array Analysis and Chromogen Quantification

QuArray performs automated identification, extraction, and quantitative analysis of tissue microarray (TMA) cores from Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) data using a tissue array (TA) configuration file to enable standardized biomarker assessment.

Key Features:

  • Whole Slide Imaging Integration: Processes WSI data for comprehensive analysis of tissue microarrays.
  • Tissue Core Identification and Export: Detects and extracts tissue cores using a TA configuration file, reducing errors from missing tissue and imaging artifacts.
  • Chromogen Staining Quantification: Performs quantitative analysis of chromogen staining within extracted core images.
  • Indexed Data Output: Exports core images and associated quantitative data in indexed formats for downstream computational workflows.

Scientific Applications:

  • Biomarker Discovery and Stratification: Supports identification, prognostication, and disease stratification through quantitative analysis of histological staining patterns in tissue microarrays.

Methodology:

QuArray ingests Whole Slide Imaging data and a tissue array configuration file to localize tissue microarray cores, extract individual core regions, and compute quantitative chromogen staining metrics. Extracted images and associated measurements are indexed for integration into subsequent statistical and bioinformatic analyses.
