RainbowSTORM

RainbowSTORM: Spectroscopic analysis plugin for single-molecule localization microscopy

RainbowSTORM performs spectroscopic analysis and visualization of single-molecule localization microscopy (sSMLM) data, processing emission spectra from stochastically emitting fluorescent single molecules to enable quantitative spectral evaluation and image reconstruction.

Key Features:

  • End-to-End Spectroscopic Analysis: Executes complete workflows from spectral calibration to quantitative emission spectrum analysis.
  • sSMLM Compatibility: Supports diverse sSMLM system designs and multiple fluorescent labels for spectral characterization.

Scientific Applications:

  • Multidimensional Molecular Imaging: Enables simultaneous acquisition and analysis of spatial localization and full emission spectra to support multi-molecular and functional imaging in biological research.

Methodology:

Implements spectroscopic data processing and post-processing workflows including calibration, spectral extraction, quantitative analysis, and reconstruction of spatially resolved spectral images for accurate spectral interpretation.
