RapidHRV

RapidHRV processes and analyzes heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV) data to extract robust HR/HRV metrics from electrocardiography (ECG), pulse oximetry, and photoplethysmography (PPG) recordings including finger and wrist (smartwatch) PPG.

  • Comprehensive preprocessing: Automated detection and removal of artifacts in ECG, pulse oximetry, and photoplethysmography (PPG) signals, including wrist (smartwatch) PPG.
  • Automated analysis: Computation of HR and HRV metrics from preprocessed signals.
  • Visualization: Generation of visual representations of heart rate and HRV patterns for interpretation.
  • Noise-resilient performance: Validated in simulations to recover accurate HR at signal-to-noise ratios ≥10 dB and to maintain moderate-to-excellent HRV recovery at SNR ≥20 dB and sampling rates ≥20 Hz.

Methodology:

Artifact detection and removal and other advanced signal-processing techniques; simulation-based validation showing HR recovery at ≥10 dB SNR and HRV recovery at ≥20 dB SNR and ≥20 Hz sampling rate; validation on real-world ECG and finger PPG datasets with noted sensitivity to motion artifacts in wrist PPG.
