Reslice3Dto2D
Reslice3Dto2D reformats 3D cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) volumes into 2D slices, enabling standardized post-processing and comparison with 2D acquisitions through a two-step interpolation method.
Key Features:
- Exact Location Matching: Reformats 3D data at the exact location of a reference slice.
- Two-Step Interpolation: Reflects in-plane discretization and through-plane slice thickness including slice profile selection.
- Slice Profile Handling: Accounts for partial volume effects with rectangular slice profiles of varying thickness (e.g., 7 mm).
- Export Compatibility: Exported reformatted data can be imported into three different post-processing software tools.
- Image Sharpness Quantification: Supports quantification of image sharpness using the Frequency Domain Image Blur Measure.
Scientific Applications:
- 3D CMR Data Quantification: Enables quantification of 3D data with conventional post-processing tools.
- 3D-to-2D Comparison: Facilitates direct comparison of 3D acquisitions with established 2D versions.
- Clinical Validation Studies: Validated on artificial datasets and tested on 119 subjects with different underlying pathologies.
Methodology:
The tool employs a two-step-based interpolation method to reflect in-plane discretization and through-plane slice thickness including slice profile selection. Image sharpness is quantified using the Frequency Domain Image Blur Measure.
