rhdf5
The 'rhdf5' package is a software tool that enables an interface between HDF5, and R. HDF5 is a file format that provides the ability to store very large and/or complex datasets as well as a wide variety of metadata on mass storage (disk), in a completely portable way. The 'rhdf5' package is particularly useful for the exchange of large and/or complex datasets between R and other software packages and for allowing R applications to work with datasets that are larger than the available RAM.
By using 'rhdf5', users can utilize the full power of HDF5's features directly from within R without the need to write any low-level C or Fortran code. This makes it easier for R users to work with large datasets, as they can now work with HDF5 files without any loss of functionality or performance.
