RIDAO
RIDAO (Rapid Intrinsic Disorder Analysis Online): Integrated high-throughput protein disorder prediction
RIDAO predicts intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and disordered regions at per-residue resolution by integrating six established disorder prediction algorithms. It reproduces individual predictor outputs while enabling genome-scale intrinsic disorder analysis.
Key Features:
- Multi-Predictor Integration: Combines six established intrinsic disorder predictors into a unified computational framework with high fidelity to original methods.
- High-Throughput Performance: Generates per-residue disorder predictions two to six orders of magnitude faster than AUCpreD, IUPred3, metapredict V2, flDPnn, and SPOT-Disorder2.
- Large-Scale Scalability: Processes datasets exceeding one million protein sequences (>420 million residues) from 100 organisms in under one hour.
Scientific Applications:
- Genome-Scale Structural Bioinformatics: Enables comparative genomics and proteomics analyses of intrinsic disorder across diverse organisms and large proteome datasets.
Methodology:
RIDAO executes and consolidates predictions from six established intrinsic disorder algorithms within a unified pipeline, producing per-residue disorder scores suitable for large-scale structural and comparative analyses.
