RNA-Ribo Explorer
Ribo Explorer (RRE) analyzes and visualizes transcriptome and translatome data from RNA-seq and ribosome profiling (Ribo-seq) experiments to investigate translation dynamics.
Key Features:
- Read-Count Profile Visualization: Displays post-mapping RNA-seq and Ribo-seq read-count profiles for comparative analysis across experimental conditions and individual transcripts.
- Custom Query and Data Mining: Enables multi-criteria filtering to identify RNAs with altered translation, including differential ribosome occupancy in untranslated regions (UTRs) and main open reading frames (ORFs).
Scientific Applications:
- Translation Regulation Analysis: Investigates ribosome distribution, alternative ORFs, and discrepancies between RNA abundance and protein synthesis using transcriptome and Ribo-seq datasets.
Methodology:
RRE processes mapped RNA-seq and Ribo-seq reads to quantify transcript abundance and ribosome occupancy, enabling comparative analysis of translational activity across transcripts and experimental conditions.
