RNAapt3D compiles RNA aptamer sequences and predicts their tertiary structures and RNA–protein interaction sites to support structure-based therapeutic development.


Key Features:

  • Aptamer Structure Database: Stores RNA aptamer sequences with computationally predicted tertiary structures derived from secondary structural information.
  • Tertiary Structure and Interaction Prediction: Models RNA 3D structures and predicts interaction sites within RNA aptamer–target protein complexes, including previously uncharacterized complexes.

Scientific Applications:

  • RNA Aptamer Drug Design: Supports analysis of RNA–protein interactions and rational optimization of RNA aptamers as therapeutic agents and targeted delivery molecules.

Methodology:

RNAapt3D applies computational modeling to generate RNA tertiary structures from known secondary structures and predicts binding interfaces in RNA aptamer–protein complexes to enable structural characterization of candidate therapeutics.
