RNAsolo

RNAsolo curates and provides cleaned, experimentally determined RNA three-dimensional (3D) structures from the Protein Data Bank (PDB) for RNA-specific computational analyses.

Key Features:

  • PDB-Derived RNA Structure Curation: Extracts RNA 3D structures from the Protein Data Bank (PDB), removes non-RNA chains, and maintains a continuously updated repository of cleaned RNA-only structures.
  • Equivalence Class Organization: Groups cleaned RNA structures into equivalence classes to support non-redundant datasets and comparative structural studies.

Scientific Applications:

  • RNA Structure Benchmarking and Modeling: Provides high-quality RNA 3D datasets for training, validation, benchmarking of RNA structure prediction algorithms, comparative structural analysis, and RNA-targeted drug design.

Methodology:

RNAsolo systematically extracts RNA-containing entries from the Protein Data Bank, removes non-RNA molecular components, classifies purified RNA structures into equivalence classes based on structural similarity, and maintains updated datasets for computational analysis.
